Want to broaden your social network of friends?

GE Advantium Speedcook technology has created a new online community called the Advantium Recipe Community.

GE intends the web site will unite consumers who have purchased an Advantium speedcook oven and are interested in sharing recipes, tips, comments and ideas.

It also provides a new, easier way to search or browse for recipes, including by course, category, main ingredient, season or occasion, and cuisine

GE is launching this Advantium recipe site so consumers can share recipes and chat about cooking and cooking products with each other.

GE Advantium ovens use breakthrough speedcook technology to cook food with light. Foods cook in a fraction of the time needed in conventional ovens. The Advantium oven comes in two versions. One oven cooks foods up to four times faster. The other up to eight times faster than a conventional oven. No preheating is required.

Advantium ovens come with as many as 175 pre–programmed recipes and quick and easy pre-set food selections. In addition, consumers can create their own Speedcook recipes or customize family favorites – like their mom's meatloaf or grandmother's chocolate swirl bundt cake with new cooking times and settings.

Consumers can now share these personal favorites with a wider audience than friends and family. Users who choose to join the community will have access to their own "recipe box" where they can store and organize their favorites from the site. Registered users will also be able to submit, rate and review recipes. Registration is easy and free. Community members can see other chefs' profiles, if submitted, to find like users.

Just like in the 1970s when cooks across the country shared ideas, recipes and tips for microwave cooking, consumers are using the latest technologies to interface with others of similar interests.
