Grant Money to Change Sense of Security
The AARP Andrus Foundation is requesting Letters of Intent from non-profit agencies that want to conduct aging research in two specific areas: "Aging and Financial Security" and "Living with Chronic Health Conditions". The foundation is dedicated to funding research that supports independent living in practical ways, such as improving the economic well-being of elders.
Grant awards in the area of financial security will be made for up to two years for a maximum of $75,000. Chronic health grants that evaluate innovative support services will be made for up to two years for a maximum of $100,000. It is anticipated that 10 grants will be awarded.

Cyber Sellers Cast Shopper Safety Net
Just in time for the holidays, the all-new "Great Catalog Guide" from the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) is a handy resource for people who like to shop from the comfort of their own homes.
