Each outline must consist of a list of five major points emphasized by the author.
A one-paragraph description must be provided for each of the five major points.
This assignment carries a maximum of 10 points.

Provides the student with the skills necessary to locate, interpret and analyze educational research.
Emphasis is placed on concepts involved in the critical consumption of educational research.

1. Demonstrate the ability to effectively review the research literature.
2. Define relevant problems in education with respect to modes of investigation.
3. Utilize library facilities in the preparation a research proposal and report.
4. Demonstrate awareness of differences among types of research methods.
6. Demonstrate an appreciation for and an understanding of published research.

GRADING POLICY
GRADE A = 180 - 200 points
GRADE B = 160 - 179 points
GRADE C = 140 - 159 points
GRADE D = 139 or less
No work will be accepted after the designated due date.

GRADING PROCEDURE
1. Chapter Summaries: 50 points (5 summaries x 10 points each) (See Assignments 1-5).
2. Article Critiques: 50 points (2 critiques x 25 points each) (See Assignments 6-7).
3. Research Proposal Checklist Critique: 50 points (See Assignment 8).
4. Research Report Checklist Critique: 50 points (See Assignment 9).
All written work will be evaluated based on the Instructor-provided rubric.
