Fans Score Autographs at Braves Home Plate in Disney World
AgeVenture News Service

Andres Galarraga Okay, all you nostalgic baby boomers out there. Yes, you can "go home" again. Well, not exactly your home, but the home plate on the baseball diamond at the Atlanta Braves spring training camp in Disney World. Once you get to home plate, you can score an autograph from your favorite Braves player.

After winning eight division titles, five pennants and a world series title in the 1990's, the Atlanta Braves look to continue their era of dominance as they open the new millennium with their third full season of spring training at Disney's Wide World of Sports in February and March.

Many of the familiar faces that have made the Braves one of America's most popular franchises return, including National League Most Valuable Player Chipper Jones and former Cy Young winners Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz.

The month of February is the perfect opportunity for fans to get up close and personal with their favorite Braves stars. Pictured is Andres Galarraga as he greets fans during an earlier Atlanta Braves Spring Training game.

The Braves arrive February 18 and fans can seek out autographs and photos while taking in a Braves practice session. The Braves' spring slate of 15 home games begins on March 2.
