14 - What You Should Know About Financial Planning is a new consumer brochure from the Certified Financial Planner Board (CFB). The CFB is a non-profit professional regulatory organization. The 13-page brochure is a guide to financial planning and its benefits. More importantly, the free consumer guide emphasizes the importance of the consumer's role in the financial planning process. 15 - Understanding Food Allergy is a new consumer guide from the International Food Information Council (IFIC). Designed to answer typical questions about food allergies, the guide is endorsed by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Food Allergy Network. 16 - Controlling High Blood Pressure: a guide for older women is a free, Spanish-English brochure about high blood pressure and how to control it. At least 50% of Hispanic women are predicted to develop hypertension. Over half of all women over age 60 have this condition which can lead to heart attack, heart failure, kidney disease, stroke, and other complications.
